I’ve been helping people tell their stories for many years as an Emmy Award winning anchor and reporter in San Diego.
I’ve always felt the most important talent in journalism was listening. And that’s been true of most every venture in my life.
Before getting involved in television I hosted wedding receptions and many other special events as a DJ/MC in Southern California.
The first step was listening to what the client wanted and then staying in tune at the event - going with the flow. I loved the positive vibe and helping create a memorable celebration that often included a broad gathering of family and friends- from little ones to Great Grandma’s and Grandpa’s.
As I neared retirement from television news, I thought it would be fun to return to the wedding business and I did just that in 2022 with a style of upbeat, fun ceremonies that have guests engaged in the celebration of the ceremony rather than checking the time to see when the reception starts.
It’s now a joy to present newly married couples to the cheers of their family and friends, and to share in some of the handshakes and hugs by those who say it was the best ceremony they ever attended.
I’ve learned warmth, smiles and laughter go together beautifully when everyone is relaxed and in the moment. That’s the energy I love to share while making sure the light shines brightest on the Bride & Groom.
